You pick up to three of your characters, lay out your pages and panels, describe what happens in each one, and the platform draws the artwork, letters the panels and assembles the finished book. Once a page is working, you can turn it into a short film.

Here’s what makes it worth your attention: the comics aren’t made by OurDream. They’re made by users, and other users read them. There’s a Trending This Week shelf, a Readers Choice shelf, and a Brand New shelf for whatever went up today. Creators have handles and followings. Popular titles run to multiple volumes — one campus series is already on its third.

And people are genuinely reading. The comic at the top of the board has done 56,800 views. Several more sit between 20,000 and 50,000. Issues run from six pages to forty, and some ship with video attached, one of them with twelve.

Does Comic Studio Cost DreamCoins?

No, and that surprised me. None of it costs coins. Reading is free, and so is making one — no per-page charge, no metered generation, no counter ticking down while you redraw a panel that came out wrong. Given that everything else creative on this platform runs on coins, an authoring tool with no consumption attached is a strange and welcome outlier.

Which means two different readers get two different things here. If you just want to read, it’s an unlimited adult comic library sitting inside a subscription you’re already paying for. If you want to make something, it’s the only place in this category where you can put out a forty-page book without watching a balance drain.

Worth saying plainly: nobody else we list does this. Paid monthly, this is an expensive platform. €18.99 puts Premium near the top of its category and €56.99 for Deluxe is in a bracket of its own. The annual plans halve both, which is plainly the offer they want you to take — though €113.99 leaves your account in one go.

What DreamCoins Actually Cost

Then there’s the coin layer, and it decides which plan is actually worth taking. DreamCoins are the metered currency behind image generation, video and voice calls. You can buy them outright: $12 for 1,000, $47.99 for 5,000, $151.99 for 20,000. Bigger pack, better rate, as you’d expect.

Now put the subscription allowances on the same scale.

Read the top half against the bottom half and something odd falls out. The monthly plans are worse value than simply buying coins. Premium billed monthly works out at 1.90¢ a coin when the smallest and priciest pack on the shelf is 1.20¢. Deluxe monthly lands at 1.14¢ against 0.96¢ for the equivalent pack. On either monthly plan you’re paying above counter price for your coins, and paying for the subscription on top.

Go annual and it inverts. Deluxe annual puts coins at 0.57¢ — cheaper per coin than the 20,000 pack, which is the best rate they sell anywhere. Premium annual sits at 0.95¢, roughly level with the mid-size pack.

Which Plan Should You Take?

So the recommendation here is unusually clear-cut. If you’re mainly after chat and comics, coins barely come into it and Premium annual is your plan. If you intend to generate images and video in any volume, or spend real time on voice calls, Deluxe annual is the only tier where the arithmetic runs in your favour. And whatever you settle on, don’t sit on a monthly plan for long — it’s the one route where you’d be better off on the free tier topping up with packs.
